WEEK 6

This weekend slate is loaded with intriguing matchups and a couple of games have caught my eye.

• JAMES MADISON -11 AND -6.5 FIRST HALF

JMU is #1 in total defense including the #1 rush defense.  Couple that defense with a top 20 rushing offense and you’ve got a team that’s poised to win on the road.  Worth mentioning that Arkansas St is outside the top 50 in most categories, and don’t let the night road game scare you on this one because this is the same defense that shut out App st on the road in the second half.  With a solid run game and efficient qb Todd Centeio rarely turning it over, I expect JMU to impose their will on the Red Wolves and dominate this game. 

• ILLINOIS -4, UNDER 36.5, -2.5 first half

This game has 20-6 written all over it.  Illinois in a prime let down spot WILL NOT let down! Illinois’ top 3 total defense will suffocate the 131 ranked Iowa offense.  Iowa is also top 10 in total defense, but this top 30 Illini rushing attack will win in the end.
