A chubby, fat squirrel with a near cartoon like round belly is on the fence in back munching on Mulberries by the mouthful. His belly swells with each bite and he’s eating at a rate that would make one wonder when the last time this ‘Husky’ last ate. It’s mid-morning and I’m looking out the kitchen window laughing out loud at the sketch-comedy like squirrel who is still to this very second, smashing the marble sized fruits. I’ll keep you posted.

However, one guy that is not on any of these lists but is worth mentioning is Gunner Stockton.

Worth mentioning because if the Dogs win out, which I expect them to do then I expect Gunner to be a big part of that success. With Florida, Texas, and Top10 Georgia Tech still on the schedule, Gunner can still make a massive mark on this season and it’s for this reason, that he continues to be one of my favorites for the Heisman.
Back in July, he was my favorite for the price, 33/1 at the time. Even now, I think he is a top 3 candidate to consider. I’ll grant you that he needs to perform highly in all of the upcoming games, but I’m saying this now because I believe he will. This is the year of the Bulldog. Gunner has the name.

The watchful furbeast took offense to the encroachment of her domain by the overweight intruder and barked from inside the house to scare it away. Her barks increased as the rodent didn’t scurry away fast enough for her liking. Instead of darting up a nearby tree or scampering across the fenceline out of the yard like most squirrels would, this roly poly slowly lumbered back towards the crepe myrtle with his sagging belly dragging the fence posts. It wasn’t as dramatic as “Templeton at the Fair,” but it sure was close to looking like him. Only this time, he was wearing his Winter Coat.
