Texas A&M @ Missouri

  • Texas A&M @ Misssouri 1:30 ABC

The third ranked Aggies are on the road in Columbia Saturday afternoon to take on two loss Missouri. These two SEC foes have a storied rivalry that goes back to 1957 when they played for the first time. 5th ranked Texas A&M won that matchup 28-0 on October 5th in Columbia. Will this game be any different?

Let’s look at a few players that will have something to say about the result.

MISSOURI

The home side is currently 19th in the AP and 22nd in the CFP rankings and have a few players that have stood above the rest.

  • RB Ahamad Hardy 937 Rushing Yards, 11 Rush TD

The 3rd highest in yardage gained from rushing and the most explosive player for the Tigers when they are able to establish the run which isn’t a guarantee every game. Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Alabama limited the Running Back’s effectiveness the past three weeks. Maybe this is the week he puts up over a hundred again. UMass on September 27th was the last time he cleared the century mark.

On defense there are three dudes that stand out above the rest.

  • Zion Young
  • Josiah Trotter
  • Damon Wilson III

All three have been disruptive in the backfield and could make an impact on this game. Between the three, they total 24 TFL and 12 sacks. Monster efforts from all three will be needed to slow the 11th ranked offense in all the land.

TEXAS A&M

The 11th ranked offense has been getting significant production from a number of players, but one that I’d like to mention is WR Mario Craver. The Sophomore Mississippi State transfer has more than doubled his totals in yards, yards/ game, and if he scores this weekend, he will have doubled his touchdowns from last season with three games yet to play.

  • WR Mario Craver 716 REC Yards, 5 TD

On defense, the Aggies have one of my favorite Corners in all the land, 6’3 Will “the Blanket” Lee. His numbers are relatively low, but that could be because his side of the field doesn’t get thrown to very often. At 6’3, he is quite imposing on the perimeter, and he can cover quite the surface area with his go-go-gadget arms.

Another dude on defense that is quite the playmaker is Defensive End Cashius Howell.

  • DE Cashius Howell 10.5 TFL, 9 Sacks, 3 PD

His best games so far were against LSU and Miss St totaling at two TFL’s and two sacks in each. This tells me that he loves the big games. The higher the stakes the better for the 6’4 Senior and this is one of those games.

Cashius and the A&M defense will be ready to neutralize True Freshman QB Matt Zollers, Ahmad Hardy, and the nationally ranked home side.

Let’s all watch Saturday at 1:30 on ABC
