Sometimes things just happen.
The sun rising over the mountains out my front window every morning or a YouTube ad taking far too long when I am ready to mellow out to my favorite tune are things that happen daily. The football weekend going by in a flash is something I don’t welcome, but it is something that happens every week. Things like arguing with family over an under-salted dried out Thanksgiving Turkey or having to pay taxes to live happen every year. Something like a positive news story going viral and dominating social timelines for even a day is something that happens rarely, but it does happen.
Even more rare is this school looking like a decent football team. Ranking 94th in total offense, 92nd in rush defense, and almost dead last (128th) in turnover margin -9, this team is abysmal and certainly primed for another defeat this Saturday against a highly motivated opponent top 10 opponent. By the way, this opponent is 7th in rushing in ball this season, so the matchup is certainly perfect for them. Sometimes things just happen. Its like the hunting story where the coolest thing happens but no one else is around to see it and no matter how hard you try; it can’t be explained. Sometimes things just happen and that is why AUBURN will BEAT top 10 Ole Miss this Saturday. Auburn +12.5 is the number. I think this game is a likely to be 19-14 as it is to be 33-32, so the o/u is a stay away.
I recognize the absurdity of trusting this Tigers/ War Eagle/ “plainsmen” team, but this is the world of College Football Saturday and sometimes…things just happen.
