Homemade Egg McMuffins smashed. Two perfectly fried eggs, two sausage links sliced and flayed and laid crisscrossed across the broiled crispy muffin. That’s it. Then smash. Football Saturday is as much about the pigskin as it is the food eaten while doing so–I can eat with the best of them, so I’ve got to be careful.
The Noon games are complete. Ohio St smashed Illinois by 18 in Champaign. This Buckeye team is a lethal unit.
-Alabama escaped Columbia with a three point win over Mizzou. Ahmad Hardy held to 52 rushing yards
-Mississippi held on to beat Washington St by three.
-UCLA won by 25 in East Lansing. The newly led Bruins are 2-0. 2-4 for the season. UCLA rushed for 253 yards
-Pitt won by three over Florida St. That Alabama win may have been the Seminoles ceiling. The floor is sinking fast in Tallahassee.
Currently on the TV is Oregon and Indiana. The Hoosiers are up 10-7 in cloudy Eugene, but there are several games that look tasty across this afternoon.
-OU is up 3-0 on Texas in Dallas. Boomer Sooner.
-Nebraska is up 10-0 on Maryland in Baltimore.
-Air Force is trailing UNLV 10-7.
-Georgia Tech is suffocating Virginia Tech 18-0.
-And Arkansas just kicked with Tennessee.
This is what I’ll have an eye on this afternoon.
There is a thick cloud bank that has formed that has squeezed all of the blue out of the sky. Strong winds bend limbs and shreds leaves. A slight whistle heard as the pressure slices between the tight knit houses…Let’s get some music going. “Mrs. Officer” will do to kick things off.
I’ll take the Ducks to eventually win this one by 17 or so. They are looking rough to start this one, but they will figure it out. #31 for the Ducks needs to get stronger really quick. They had to peel him out of his imprint in the endzone. Indiana Running Back just bulldozed through him and ORE #31 ended up flat on his back in his own end zone. Tough spot to be in for a DB but better can be expected next time. Indiana is hitting. Ducks better hit back.
