“North London forever. Whatever the weather. These streets are our home.”- Louis Mark Dunford
The round version of football is back! It feels like last season that Arsenal played Liverpool in Anfield two weeks ago. The season began and then took a two-week sabbatical for the international break, but it finally has returned. Tomorrow morning at 5:30 Arsenal plays host to Nottingham Forest to reopen the season.
I’m unsure who exactly is available for this game but to my knowledge, only William Saliba, Kai Havertz and Saka are unavailable. This would leave room for the following lineup:
- GK Raya
- RB Timber
- CB Mosquera
- CB Gabriel
- LB Calafiori (August Player of the Month)
- CM Zubimendi
- CM Rice
- CM Eze
- RW Madueke
- ST Gyokeres
- LW Martinelli
This is a solid team. Even without Saka, Saliba, Havertz, and Odegaard in the starting lineup, this team has plenty of firepower. I expect three goals to be scored by the Gunners and a win to be the result.
I’ll have the score and my summary from the European Soccer weekend in the “General Update” Sunday Evening.
After the game ends, the fresh air of the mountains awaits and then the oblong of football will provide the action in the afternoon, but until then, COYG!
