COLLEGE FOOTBALL UNDEFEATED TEAMS. UTAH SPECIAL HOME GAME HELMETS

WEEK 7

What a Saturday we have upcoming this weekend in college football week 7!  This is what college football is all about once we get to mid-October.  The leaves are changing, the mornings are all cool to chilly, weekend nights are filled with smells of marshmellows toasting over firepits, and…COLLEGE FOOTBALL is in prime form.  As much as I love to eat a S’more next to a fire while feeling the cool air and noticing the changing foliage, nothing beats the drama that unfolds on a CFB Saturday.

There are only 15 undefeated teams left in all of college football:

  1. JAMES MADISON
  2. COASTAL CAROLINA
  3. CLEMSON
  4. SYRACUSE
  5. TCU
  6. OKLAHOMA ST
  7. OHIO ST
  8. MICHIGAN
  9. PENN ST
  10. SOUTHERN CAL
  11. UCLA
  12. OLE MISS
  13. ALABAMA
  14. TENNESSEE
  15. GEORGIA

The most undefeated teams possible once the last whistle sounds Saturday night is 12 since we have 3 matchups featuring undefeated teams.

  • PENN ST @ MICHIGAN NOON est FOX

-Big Noon Kickoff on FOX.

  • ALABAMA @ TENNESSEE 330 est CBS

-College Gameday site location

  • OKLAHOMA ST @ TCU 330 est ABC

Unfortunately, 3 of the above teams will have to lose but there are other opportunities for an undefeated to go down this Saturday.  Southern Cal travels to Utah for Saturday night showdown at 8est on FOX.  When looking at schedules in the pre-season, I was hoping for both of these teams to be undefeated entering this game.  Nonetheless, this game matters for both teams.  USC knows if they continue to win, the CFB Playoff will be waiting for them, and Utah knows that winning out could still win the PAC12.  This is the Cardinal and Gold of USC playing on the UTE home turf and expect the crowd to be super charged, especially with Utah wearing hand painted helmets to honor and remember the loss of their teammates Ty Jordan (Dec 2020) and Aaron Lowe (Sept 2021.)  The Lowe and Jordan family will be in attendance and expect the Utes to use their love for their fallen teammates to give them some extra fuel especially when trying to slow down the talented OU transfer QB Caleb Williams.

Any team can win any given Saturday so let’s see who is still undefeated next week.
