It’s the week of Thanksgiving, and there is plenty of College Football games that have my attention. Sixteen games to be exact. It’s the last week of the regular season. These games just mean more.
UMass kicks off the week tomorrow at 2:30 from Amherst as they seek their first win and football will be in control the rest of the week.
Eat the food, be kind to those within arm’s reach, be grateful for the present, and enjoy the hell out of the football. This is the last full weekend.
SIXTEEN MUST WATCH GAMES
11/27 Thanksgiving Primetime
- Navy @ Memphis ESPN
Go Tigers, GO!
Pack the belly full of sweet potatoes and marshmallows and then pack the Liberty Bowl. Make it a family affair. Bring out of town guests like Uncle Ted and Aunt Marvette. Drop Grandma Jean at the gate and let a grandson help her to the handicap seating. Even grumpy Uncle Al, bring everyone and enjoy the game. Cheer for the Tigers when they make a play. Smile at one another. Love those within arm’s reach and support the Hometown team. Be part of Memphis. Real stuff.
The dishes can wait for all of you “Marthas” out there.
11/28 Black Friday ALL Day
- Egg Bowl Miss @ MSU Noon ABC
- UGA vs GT Afternoon ABC
- A&M @ Texas Primetime ABC
ABC Tripleheader that features three important games in this late stage of the football season. So, tune the television set to local ABC, get those rabbit ears pointing just right, and get in your comfy chair with a bucket of cheese puffs and a cooler of a Peroni–you’ll be set for the day.
-Mississippi needs to win by at least one to have a playoff prayer
-UGA can lose and still get in, but a win would seal a top4 spot for them.
-GT can only make the playoffs by winning the ACC. This game will be about pride for the Jekyll and Hyde Yellowjackets.
-A&M needs to play well if they lose. A win and they are in automatically, but a loss by double digits could drop them out of the 12 if other results go a certain way.
-Texas needs to win to have a playoff prayer. The Dukes Mayo Bowl will be their reward with a loss.
Three games on Friday all on ABC. Sounds like an easy day for the football fan. Get one channel and enjoy the day. Oh, and throw out the cheese puff bucket and replace it with cocktail weenies and fresh cut pineapple. A perfect Peroni pairing.
But wait, there is more on Black Friday…
- Indiana @ Purdue 5:30 NBC
- Nico Radicic 13/13 on FG and 62/62 on extra points
- Arizona @ Arizona St 7:00 FOX
Can IU remain unbeaten?
Can Arizona notch an impressive 9th win? Bear down Arizona!!
What a year to become a pseudo-Arizona fan. Man alive, this has been a fun team to follow.
After this, we sleep until the real SATURDAY GAME begins.

- The game that would bring about the most chaos if it went the way of the Cardinal.
- Love can run for 250 and three TD’s and win the Heisman, but I’m rooting against the Irish in this one.
- Stay awake for this game’s ending. Your team that is currently on the fringes of the playoffs has a chance if the Irish lose.
- Wyoming @ Hawaii

- 23/23 on FG
- Second to last regular season game.

So, there they are–sixteen must watch games incoming on this final regular season of the 2025 CFB Season. “Predicting the Unpredictable” is just about completed. All we need now is the end of the story. Who will play the part of pesky villain and who will be the hero that stands triumphant at the end?
I’ve said it since June, UGA vs OSU is the game that this season deserves. The winner is your champion. There are no better two teams than these two.
Oregon, Indiana, and Oklahoma are deserving to have a shot, but there are only two teams that caught my eye back in June on paper and only two that have showed me that they have the goods on the field all season…Ohio St and Georgia. These are the two that would cap this season with a proper game played at the highest level.
Of course, this is just one man’s opinion. Sporting a three-month beard and on the lumpy Tiki Shore Blue couch at 7:16 on Monday morning. This is only my opinion and trust me–I’m an expert.
–It’s 30 degrees and day infinity in a row for this humidity bubble that has enclosed this valley. One day the sky will be blue and the air will be clear again. “This too shall pass.”
Let’s have a great Monday. Only 5 remain in 2025!
