Let all of these home teams win so that we can set up a tasty semifinal.
Fremont and Tennessee VOL commit Salesi Moa is the dark horse lingering. A funky game or two dropped them in the standings, but they proved against #2 in the state Davis that they can play with and beat anyone. Davis’ only loss was to Fremont. That said, this is West or Orem’s to lose.
4A Key Game
- 5 Ridgeline 73 – East 14
- QB Nate Dahle 6 TD’s
- Noah Fiefia 3 TD’s
Next: Park City @ 5 Ridgeline

It was a great day. One that I was certainly proud to witness. I found myself at the American Fork game as they hosted feisty Lehi. That game was intense and competitive from start to finish. The team that did the little things well, won. Despite their abysmal three turnovers, American Fork earned the win.
This was a schemed win by the AF Coaching staff. In fact, the AF Coach was probably the player of the game for AF. He just pulled every correct string. Lehi sports two future D-1 players on offense, RB Eka and WR Glasker, and he was able to neutralize them completely in the second half.
Legend scored two easy first half TD’s, but AF made the coverage adjustment, and he barely gained a yard the rest of the night. Eka never had a run longer than about six yards. In fact, he may have been tackled for a loss more times than beyond the line of scrimmage. That’s how good the American Fork front 7 were. Every player in red made the play in front of them, but the reason the play was directly in front of them was because of coaching.
Their game plan was simple–neutralize the Lehi stars and do the little things well.
On offense, American Fork’s O-Line communicated and moved well as a unit all night. The offense did just enough, but what they did was all because of the well-coached offensive line. They did a phenomenal job on Lehi Star Vince Evans. Vince was top10 in tackles and 4th in Interceptions coming into the game and American Fork simply wedged the Mike Linebacker out of most plays. Again, the coach had a plan. He wasn’t going to let the Stars of Lehi beat him.
So, the Starless Cavemen of American Fork will have the daunting task of playing on the road at Skyridge, but there is no doubt about it–they earned this chance.
