Sam Houston again. Man alive, this team has win repellent sprayed on thick. Another game that was in their grasp late and they let it slip. A 52 yard field goal from Garrison Rippa as time expired lifted Jacksonville St over the home team.
Maybe. Just maybe it’ll be this Wednesday when they host cross state rival UTEP. I doubt it.
UMass blew their chance against 1-4 Kent St as they were embarrassed 42-6. The Minuteman will have their next chance 10/18 at 12:30 against Buffalo on Espn+
Oregon St continues to look like one of the worst teams in College Football. LaFayette from Easton, PA will make the long trip to Corvallis to give the Beavers a chance to get into the win column. The Leopards of LaFayette are 5-2 so far having only lost to Princeton and Bowling Green.

There will be no battle of the unbeatens this week, but some very tough matchups for the remaining 11. Memphis is at UAB, Mississippi is at Georgia, BYU hosts Utah, and UNLV play Boise.
Who loses next? I’ll take Mississippi to lose to UGA. I’ll take Georgia Tech to win them all. Maybe.
